Howzit? I need a vacation from the bummer beans I’ve been brewing. So, I’m going to Hawaii this week with some flavored kope brah!
To be fair, I’ve had these beans before and already know I like em’. But, I’ve also burned out on them like a local suffering mainland kooks. That said, the last few weeks of backwash brews made me want to write about happy café before I wipeout, so check-it.
From peeling the bag open to soaking these grinds in sizzling water, the aroma is like getting barreled! A sip and wiff of its sweet nutty vanilla flavor elevates these beans beyond a normal cup of morning joe. It’s like starting your day with dessert.
The flavor is consistently good as I work through my french press. Although I will give this caution: I put four heaping scoops of grinds in a french press. If it’s a “rough morning” I’ll add a fifth scoop for a caffeine kick. Adding too much of this coffee can turn these Ono grinds into bitter doo-doo water really quick. So be chill and if you need more energy just make a second press brah. You’re on island time now! Aloha.
